Since 1998, The Dawson County Educational Foundation has awarded 59 scholarships for a total of $25,100 to graduates from Dawson County High School. Each award ranges from $300 to $750.

How to Help
Anyone in the community can help by making a contribution to the scholarship fund. Endowing funds to this non-profit organization that is designed to help the youth of Dawson County. The foundation board is looking for individuals who would like to share their time and ideas by serving on the Dawson County Educational Foundation Board.
Local Scholarship Application
Students at Dawson County High School may apply for the scholarships by completing a common application that can be obtained from the school counselor. An Awards Committee scores applications anonymously. Applicants receive points from a variety of qualities, including work experience, school and community activities and service as well as their academic record. In this way, the selection process is objective and nondiscriminatory making scholarships available to a wide range of deserving students planning to attend an accredited post-secondary institution.
