ERWIN GALLO FERRER

Health/PE Teacher

As a graduate of Bachelor of Physical Education, at the College of Physical Education, Sports, Culture and Recreation (PESCAR) at West Visayas State University, Philippines and a licensed Health and Physical Education teacher, I am dedicated to helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for healthy, active, and balanced lives. My educational background in Physical Education has taught me that movement is more than fitness, it is a tool for personal growth, teamwork, social responsibility, and lifelong wellness. I am excited to bring this passion and experience to Glendive Public Schools, contributing to the district’s mission of preparing students to become lifelong learners and responsible, caring individuals.

In my role, I strive to inspire students to value effort, perseverance, and self-improvement over perfection. I aim to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where every student, regardless of ability or background, feels encouraged to participate, collaborate, and succeed. My goal is to empower students to make healthy choices, build resilience, and experience the joy of physical activity that lasts a lifetime.

My favorite part of working in education is witnessing students gain confidence and realize their potential, both in and out of the gym. Seeing them grow in skill, character, sportsmanship, and teamwork is deeply rewarding and motivates me to continually refine my teaching.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, staying active through outdoor recreation like gardening, picnics, and sports such as volleyball, ping-pong, and badminton. I also enjoy arts and crafts, community dances, and Zumba. Through these activities and ongoing professional growth, I hope to model a lifestyle where physical activity is fun, fulfilling, and essential to overall well-being, helping students build a strong foundation for lifelong success.
