Amanda Johnson - DCHS

Welcome Amanda Johnson - Dawson County High School

I'm Mandy Johnson, I am excited for my new role as the girls Health and PE teacher at Dawson County High School.  I have lived in Glendive for 13 years. I spent several years working in sales, while also coaching various age groups at Glendive Public Schools.  In the summer of 2025,  I decided to make a change and jump into education full time.  The staff, administration, and students of DCHS make me recognize how happy I am with my decision.

My husband and I have three daughters ages 11, 8, and 3.  When I'm not at work you can find me chasing my kids at their many sports and activities. My hobbies include gardening, attending Red Devil sporting events, and all things Eastern Montana, our family spends many days in Makoshika or on the Yellowstone River.

I'm grateful to work with the youth in our community, my favorite part is the positive interaction between students that I witness on a daily basis when they get excited for each other after trying and conquering new skills.
