Welcome Steven Nard - DCHS
My name is Steve Nard. I was raised and educated in Indiana, where I completed my
bachelor’s degree in biology at Indiana State. During my summers there, I worked as a
student field technician for the college’s bat study and also founded a nonprofit reptile
rescue. After college, I chose to pursue a career in law enforcement, which eventually
brought me to Plentywood, Montana, where I spent several years before relocating to
Glendive, the place I now call home.
After 16 years of service as an officer, I decided to return to the science field. Teaching
gives me the opportunity to share my passion for learning, discovery, and
experimentation with the next generation.
My favorite part of teaching is connecting classroom lessons to real-world scenarios,
helping students build practical life skills while keeping them interested, curious, and
engaged in learning.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Mandy, whom I have been
married to for six years, and our two sons, Erick and Colten. In my free time, I enjoy
woodworking and riding my motorcycle.
