Welcome Michelle Clawson - LES
Hi, Glendive! My name is Michelle Clawson, and I'm so excited to be part of the Glendive community as the principal of Lincoln Elementary!
A little about my background: I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and K–12 Art from Montana State University Northern in Havre and later earned my master's degree in Educational Leadership through the University of Montana in Missoula. I've had the opportunity to work in a variety of teaching and leadership roles throughout my career, and I'm grateful for the experiences that have brought me to where I am today.
One of my favorite things about education is building connections with students and helping them see what they're capable of. I want kids to know that I'm in their corner, that I believe in them, and that I'm here to help them work through challenges and celebrate their successes. If I can make a positive difference in a student's life, help them believe in themselves, or be someone they know they can count on, then I've made a difference that matters.
Outside of school, I'm a mom of four, three boys and a girl, who are my everything. I love being outdoors, hiking, traveling, and exploring new places. I'm a big fan of both the mountains and the ocean, and I enjoy finding opportunities to get out and experience new things. I'm excited for this next chapter at Lincoln and look forward to getting to know everyone in the community. It takes all of us working together to help our kids thrive, and I'm excited to be part of that. Here's to a great year at Lincoln!
